During the exchange, NCC Administrator Advocate Sakhawat Hossain Khan highlighted various aspects of his far-reaching and well-planned urban vision aimed at upgrading the quality of life for city dwellers, ensuring safe transportation, modern healthcare, and quality education.

Several mega projects received special emphasis during the discussions. Among these is a highly advanced 50-megawatt (50MW) 'Waste-to-Energy' power plant designed to revolutionize the city's waste management and protect the environment. In addition, discussions focused on establishing a 1,000-bed state-of-the-art hospital, a full-fledged medical college, and a nursing center to expand medical education while simultaneously ensuring advanced healthcare and quality higher education for the region.

Furthermore, fruitful talks were held regarding an LRT or Monorail project under a public transport system to alleviate traffic congestion and ensure eco-friendly, safe commuting. The discussions also covered mega projects aimed at ensuring an uninterrupted supply of pure water across the entire city, as well as the construction of modern bridges to improve long-standing communication networks and connect the two banks of the river.

Wang Da, MD, and Mahmud Khan, DMD of China Harbour, highly praised the Administrator's visionary planning and public welfare projects for the historic city. They stated that their organization is keenly interested in providing maximum cooperation, including necessary technical assistance as well as potential large-scale investments and financing, to implement these massive development projects.

According to NCC sources, the meeting concluded in a very cordial atmosphere, with both sides expressing their commitment to further strengthening mutual cooperation and partnership. Stakeholders hope that through this bilateral collaboration, the ancient commercial city will emerge as one of the most modern, sustainable, and citizen-friendly megacities in the country in the near future.
